HF & VUC FYN is an adult education centre located on the island of Funen, Denmark. HF & VUC FYN consists of 9
departments (Odense, Faaborg, Glamsbjerg, Langeland, Middelfart, Nyborg, Svendborg, Søndersø, Aeroe) located around
the island. The network of schools has a total of approximately 4,000
students and 500 members of staff. HF & VUC FYN is one of the largest providers of adult education in Denmark and the
organization has a large distance-learning unit. HF & VUC FYN offers general, preparatory and qualifying education for
(very) young adult and adult learners, aiming to fulfil the vision of building bridge to a future of more education, better jobs
and a higher quality of life for our students. We offer second chance education/ adult education at lower secondary level
(equivalent to the 9th and 10th grade of municipal schools), called AVU, and upper secondary level leading to the higher
preparatory examination – called HF. We also offer preparatory education for adults, which is basic level Danish and maths
